BGP Communities

as210880 supports BGP large communities for traffic engineering. Tag your announcements to control how we propagate your prefixes. The scheme is 210880:<action>:<target> where a target of 0 means "all upstreams / peers" and a specific ASN scopes the action to that neighbour.

Action communities

Do not announce to any upstream / peer
Do not announce to AS215296 (LowPing NL)
Do not announce to AS214762 (MatHost.eu)
Prepend 210880 once to everyone
Prepend 210880 twice to everyone
Prepend 210880 three times to everyone
Prepend once towards AS215296 (LowPing NL)
Prepend twice towards AS215296 (LowPing NL)

Prepend once towards AS214762 (MatHost.eu)
Prepend twice towards AS214762 (MatHost.eu)
Prepend three times towards AS214762 (MatHost.eu)

Upstream actions

For networks we don't connect to ourselves but one of our upstreams does. The format is 210880:<upstream ASN>:<network ASN>: do not announce to that network via that upstream. Other upstreams are not affected.

Do not announce to AS6939 (Hurricane Electric) via AS214762
Do not announce to AS50263 (1-IX) via AS214762
Do not announce to AS202554 (1-PL) via AS214762

Do not announce to AS6204 (ZET) via AS214762
Do not announce to AS15694 (ATMAN) via AS214762
Do not announce to AS62403 (PletX) via AS214762
Do not announce to AS24381 (BGP.Exchange) via AS214762
Do not announce to AS214757 (Jakub Krsa) via AS214762

Blackhole

Blackhole — discard traffic to the tagged prefix
RFC 7999 blackhole — honoured the same way

Informational

We set these ourselves and strip them from anything that arrives already tagged, so on our routes they mean what they say.

Route entered our network in Amsterdam
Learned from a downstream, that ASN
Learned from that neighbour
Learned from an upstream
Learned from a peer
Learned from a downstream
Learned over an IXP route server
RPKI valid
RPKI not found — no ROA covers the prefix
RPKI invalid — tagged, then rejected, so you will not see it on a route
Matched the prefix list registered for that downstream

Targets

0
All upstreams & peers
215296
AS215296 (LowPing NL, Amsterdam)
214762
AS214762 (MatHost.eu, Warsaw)

See the peering policy for session requirements and contact details, or check how a prefix is actually routed on the looking glass.

Example

Say you want us to prepend twice towards AS215296: tag your routes with 210880:102:215296. Same made-up prefixes and names as the session example on the peering page.

protocol bgp as210880 {
    # ...
    ipv6 {
        export filter {
            if net ~ [ 2001:db8:100::/48 ] then {
                bgp_large_community.add((210880, 102, 215296));
                accept;
            }
            reject;
        };
    };
}
